What Are Runes?
The Elder Futhark is the oldest known runic alphabet, used by Germanic and Norse peoples from roughly the 2nd to the 8th century CE.
These symbols were carved into stone, wood, bone, and metal for writing, storytelling, memorials, and personal markings. Over time, runes also became associated with symbolism, intuition, and spiritual interpretation.
Today, many people use runes as a reflective tool (similar to tarot or oracle cards) to explore themes, guidance, and connection.
At Paw-Halla Pets, runes are for the dogs! Nordic Nibbles runic dog treats are versatile:
They can be used for divination (The Seer’s Set), providing an playful and fun interpretation that celebrates your noble hound’s unique personality and path in life.
They’re also great for empowerment (Just The Good Stuff, The Good Jar) encouraging health, joy and luck while adding a tasty bit of Viking-era magic to their day.
